Can you explain briefly what broadband is?
Broadband is a higher-speed, higher capacity connection to the Internet. While the transmission speed of information over a normal telephone line is 56 Kbps (56 thousand bits per second), a minimum broadband transmission rate for broadband would be 144 Kbps. Broadband connection is ‘always on’ compared to a dial up connection over a telephone line.
